Diabetes is a condition that happens when your blood sugar, glucose, is too high, and it develops due to a shortage of insulin, a complete lack of insulin, or when your body no longer responds to the effect of insulin properly. This program, Dining with Diabetes, empowers you to take charge of your health and promotes living a healthier lifestyle.

Nutrition is the cornerstone of diabetes management. Discussion will center around health and wellness tips for those with, or without, diabetes, diabetic friendly recipes, and learning ways to add more movement to your day.

Dining with Diabetes is presented by Candace Heer, an Educator in Family and Consumer Sciences at the Morrow County OSU Extension Office.

Registration is required for this program and begins September 1, 2023. Please call the library, 419-362-7181, or stop by the circulation desk to register.
