Smokey Bear Reading Challenge
October is fire prevention month and we are promoting fire safety and Smokey Bear's 80th birthday with our Smokey Bear October Reading Challenge.

Join Smokey in learning about wildfire prevention and the environment. Read three books on wildfire prevention or the environment and earn four badges to complete the challenge. You earn four badges by completing listed activities under four of seven categories: Learn about Smokey Bear, Campfire Safety, Nature Adventure, Tree Exploration, Career Exploration, Wildfire Science, and Make a Difference. We have a selection of books available from the reading list and materials to complete activities in house.
Challenge is geared for ages 4 - 10 years, but all ages are welcome to participate.
Stop by the library, pick up your challenge log, and get started today!
